ADASH
All children learn in 3 major ways;
Auditory….sit still from birth & listen and think about everything around them.
Kinaesthetic…climb over everything from birth;never sit still and have to do to learn.
Visual…sit still from birth & watch and feel everything around them.
With this understanding of learning styles,on admission into the program,ADASH collaborates with the child,parents/guardian,secondary caregivers and school teacher (from the child's current grade) to create a personalised learning curriculum(PLC) guided by ADASH instructional strategies,the child's learning goals and needs.
ADASH time table- 5 times a week, 2 hours each day (Mondays -fridays) 4:30pm-6:30pm @Lekki phase 1.
ADASH Bible club program is built to serve all enrolled participants.
ADASH integrates into her instructional strategies all the subjects done by the child in their current grade from their individual schools into their PLC as well as certain relevant grade appropriate core subject areas.this system fills in the 21st century learning vacuum left by their schools and on the other hand,completely obliterates the need for the regular home lesson.
ADASH is structured to alleviate the pressure of standardised tests but would prepare participants utilising her instructional strategies with pre mid term tests and pre end of term exams for their schools standardised tests.
Admission into the program would be conducted through formative assessment as against summative assessment.These formative assessments,constantly influenced by different ways of demonstrating & measuring the child's learning progress would be a prevalent assessment method throughout the child's participation within the program.
The learning goals for the program,created in a flexible way as to enable the child try out the different ways of learning, would be blended with the learning goals submitted by the child and their parent.
Most of the assignments, project presentations, group discussions done by the participants will be carried out on ADASH learning management system.
